Eng. Julie Prevost

Ms. Prevost has 30 years of experience in emergency management and disaster recovery with expertise in FEMA’s Public Assistance Program. She has worked on over 50 federally declared disasters at the local, state, and federal levels of government. Ms. Prevost has served as a FEMA Public Assistance Officer, PA Group Supervisor, and Project Manager throughout her career. She is skilled in damage assessment, project formulation, quality control, and mitigation. Under her leadership, over 900 large projects were closed out in Florida after the 2004-2005 hurricane season. Her work with subrecipients navigating the recovery process is her passion. She has worked with local authorities including utilities, school districts, and private non-profit housing corporations to assist in maximizing recovery funds. As a Subject Matter Expert, she assisted with mitigation and permanent relocation of facilities including testimony in an Arbitration hearing with FEMA to relocate a school after Hurricane Katrina. She has provided policy review and recommendations at the Federal and state level and continues to assist clients in navigating the changing FEMA guidelines. Ms. Prevost holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from North Dakota State University and previously worked in the gas utility industry.
